Primary Care Paramedics / Part-Time District Float

Location: District of Timiskaming
Classification: Part-Time District Float

Reporting to the EMS Deputy Chief of Operations, the Paramedic responds to emergency and non-emergency calls to provide the full scope of timely, quality, pre-hospital emergency care to the public while safely operating emergency vehicles and transporting patients to and from health care facilities. The Paramedic conducts patient assessments, provides airway management, administers oxygen, performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), provides basic trauma care, administers symptom relief medications, and performs manual external defibrillation, in addition to performing specific controlled acts, while treating patients, co-workers and management with integrity, respect and in a manner consistent with Legislation, Regulations, policies and professional standards. Other related duties, as assigned. This position is unionized.
