The Care we Provide

DTSSAB Paramedic Services operates under a Paramedic Deployment Plan that is reviewed annually. This deployment plan outlines how ambulances will be staffed and situated so that communities receive adequate emergency coverage at all times regardless of the number of calls happening across the district.  Emergency calls are unpredictable; we aim to be ready to respond.   

Annual call volume has fluctuated over the years due to various factors such as the Covid pandemic and change in deployment. The Paramedic Services department continues to work with our area hospitals and other health partners to provide excellent care for the community and its people.  We monitor our response times regularly and plan ahead for future needs where possible.
